Next best action (NBA)
The NBA (Next Best Action) is the most relevant advice for a given customer at a specific time. Recometrics calculates the NBA by comparing the different advice and identifying the one that is most likely to generate business and satisfy the customer.
Variables and accuracy: It is possible to enter no variables and get a result with all the advice and an NBA. However, this result will not be very accurate. The more variables you enter, the more relevant the NBA will be and the more accurate all the advice will be.
Physical person - the end-user, one of your customers, using a service (Datanumia service offer) for one or several sites
Physical location of the person (usually a house or appartment) where the energy is supplied.
A person can have several sites.
Simulation
An API call to identify and prioritize what relevant energy investments can be made by an end-user is called a simulation.
Variable
Various data and parameters are either exploited as input or as output of a given simulation : these are called variables. (ex : YEARLY_MONEY_SAVINGS)
The various energy investments which are recommended to an end-user through a simulation are called advices. (ex : ROOF_INSULATION)
Eligibility
One end-user is not eligible to an advice if it is not relevant for him/her context and accomodation.
A simulation provides a list of advices relatively important for the end user to follow : the score enables to rank and prioritize these advices.
Equipment reference
Equipment models (along with various other caracteristics like equipment cost, equipment energy consumption…) are stored in equipment reference databases to recommend the best model for a given end-user, a given advice and a given simulation (ex : air / water heat pump reference) Last modified on October 13, 2026
